Mario in Real Time (more commonly known as MIRT) is an interactive system developed by SimGraphics and introduced in 1991, and it has since been used by Nintendo across various promotional events. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad they'll be the default four playable characters going forward. At the very least I think she will be playable in all future multiplayer mainline Mario games like the next 2D Mario.

Peach on the other hand I think will see a shift in the games inspired by the movie given how every party involved, including Miyamoto, keeps stressing in interviews that they wanted to get rid of the damsel in distress trope (funny that it's still fine for Zelda though.). Easy way to make the upcoming DK theme park obsolete before it even opens if they went through with it (and again, not necessary). I don't think the Donkey Kong cast will be shifting designs in the games to fit their movie appearance either (another common suggestion i've seen since it was revealed).

Not that Mario games need voice acted cutscenes or a notable shift in Mario's portrayal in the first place if it ain't broke don't fix it. Putting aside how I how I feel about him as a person and his performance in the film, getting Crisp Rat to come in and record for each new Mario game release is a logistical and financial nightmare in the making and if they truly felt Charles Martinet's voice wasn't fit for film (various dubs of the movie disagreed, mind you) then surely they wouldn't make players "suffer" through cutscenes with that voice now either. I imagine they get a more sizable cut out of merchandise sales from regular Super Mario products in contrast to the movie merch, for starters. For a variety of reasons it'd be in Nintendo's best interest to keep a degree of seperation between the Super Mario and The Super Mario Bros.
